For the first since 1973 the world famous event started from Glasgow outside our Blythswood Square office (how lucky were we!). This was the first time for 38 years that it has started here.
49 entries started from Blythswood Square at 18:30 on the 27th January. In addition to the 9 British entries were teams from across Europe, Scandinavia, and as far a field as Japan and Canada. 22 French teams were present plus entries from Italy, Monaco, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Netherlands, and Spain.
As you can see from the photos, there were some gorgeous vintage cars present too. Absolutely fantastic!
Here are a few photos our guys took of these beautiful machines and their intrepid drivers (one car’s 3 drivers had an aggregate age of over 200 years, believe it or not). Click on a pic to enlarge it.
